Volunteering
Do you have time to spare and skills to offer?
Working as a volunteer for Age Concern Bournemouth can be rewarding and enjoyable, where new friends are often made.
If you feel that you can give some time, as little or as much as you like to help others, then we will be pleased to hear from you. Previous experience is not essential as our volunteers are recruited on the basis of sensitivity towards older people's needs.
Age Concern Bournemouth offers support and training. Encourages volunteers to attend information sessions, which provide an opportunity to learn about attitudes to ageing, understanding older people's needs and developing listening skills and a chance to meet with other volunteers. Out of pocket expenses are paid monthly.
All prospective volunteers are required to complete an application form and provide references, which are taken up by the organisation and also carry out a criminal record bureau check.
Our volunteer Officer will be happy to discuss volunteering opportunities with you and arrange an informal chat. Either complete the online contact form or contact Robert Langdon on 01202 530530 email robert@acbournemouth.org
